Our Love Wood Furniture bespoke kitchen hand built by Clive is wonderful and everything and more than we hoped it would be. Clive was recommended to us by a friend who suggested we ask him to pop over to explore some ideas we had around design and see what he would suggest and get an indication of the cost. We have an awkward shaped kitchen and so decided quite early that we would probably need a bespoke kitchen and so someone who could work with us to ensure we got the best possible design to maximize the available space and functionality balanced against quality and price, my wife and I both agreed having met Clive that he was the right person for us. Clive was great to work with quickly understanding what we were trying to achieve and input some great suggestions and innovative features into the bespoke design that kept within our budget. Throughout the project Clive worked with us to co-ordinate the plumbing, electrics and minor building works using a combination of his and our own tradesmen and discussing and tweaking the design to ensure it met our requirements. The quality of Clive's work and attention to detail is superb and clear to see. not only in our kitchen but also, some of other customers kitchens, bedroom and furniture projects we visited that he had designed and built. We were pleasantly surprised by Clive's quote for our new kitchen.
We'd contacted him as a long-shot, assuming a bespoke hand-made kitchen would be out of our price range.  The quality of the workmanship by far outclassed anything else we'd seen.

Working with Clive to determine the design of the kitchen was very enjoyable - he was very amenable to all our ideas and had lots of helpful suggestions himself.  His eye for design detail is exceptional and he sets himself very high standards.

He project-managed all elements of the new kitchen including ripping out, re-plastering, electrics, plumbing granite worktops and installation of all appliances.  He was thorough, diligent and reliable.

Clive was recommended to us by an antique dealer. We wanted a contemporary piece of furniture to solve our storage problems in our home. It also needed to match some other furniture I had (dare I say, it from Marks and Spencer!!)

Overall the kitchen Clive designed and made for us was outstanding.Truly magnificent workmanship.Our only regret is that we moved house and couldn`t take the kitchen with us! However we are looking forward to employing Clive to make our next kitchen.We also bought our daughter a large shelf unit for her bedroom which she was thrilled about.Luckily we were able to take this with us!Would have no hesitation in recommending Clive.Of course he is more expensive than your B & Q kitchen but I think you get what you pay for and this may last a lifetime rather than just a few years.

Clive was commissioned to provide and construct a bespoke Oak Staircase.  This specific project is part of a complete restoration of an old farm house cottage.  The completed staircase provides a central focal point and is both beautiful and functional. 

I provided both the initial design of the staircase and the raw material (i.e. English Oak).  The conceptual design consists of four short staircases linked by four landings. The project was organic and as work on the staircase progressed; Clive contributed many of his own ideas, based on his wide experience. 

Clive’s workmanship is exemplary – despite his initial reservations he persevered with my choice of raw wood and my drawings.  He demonstrated great professionalism throughout. His contributions were inspired and the final staircase is magnificent and much admired by all my visitors.  Clive is a master of his trade and I am happy to provide him with this testimonial.

When my wife and I purchased our 300-year old weaver’s cottage, we wanted to ensure that its renovation was in keeping with the appearance and construction of the property. We like the "new meets old" look, so when it came to replacing the kitchen it had to be modern and functional, while still keeping its timeless character and charm. We knew that we didn’t want a mass produced kitchen, which is what we would have got if we'd bought an “off the shelf” kitchen from one of the major retailers.

Clive perfected the layout of the kitchen and style of the doors and fittings. His innovative design solved the problems we had with walls that are out of plumb and floors which are off level. Throughout this process, he was helpful, flexible, always on hand and gave us some honest advice that probably meant we ended up spending less than we could have done!

As a result, we have a unique, quality kitchen crafted with pride that will be a focal point of our home for many years to come.

Following the success of the kitchen, we asked Clive to do additional work for us, including making and fitting banisters, a fitted wardrobe, a bookshelf and laying of an oak floor. All of Clive’s work has exceeded our expectations. The woodwork he created belongs with the cottage – it’s almost like the wood moulds into the rest of the cottage and has always been part of it.

We are delighted with all the projects we have commissioned Love Wood Furniture to design and build and we would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for quality workmanship. A company that does what it says it is going to do and does it well!
